STAFF and students at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College (QE), Darlington, are celebrating another outstanding year of places on Medicine and Veterinary Science courses.

This year, ten students will take up places on Medicine degrees whilst three will progress to Veterinary Science courses after all excelled in their A Level results.

Fozia Mahroof has received confirmation of her place at Hull York Medical School after securing four A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Extended Project and John Paul will study at Lancaster University following success in his results. He gained an A* in Biology, two A grades in Chemistry and French, and a B in Extended Project.

Heading to Newcastle University are Jack Parsons-Munn and Ben Stapleton.

Jack achieved three A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and History whilst Ben obtained an A* in French and two A grades in Biology and Chemistry. Other successful applicants include Jack Baillie, Lucy Foster and Nicole Serio-Joseph who have all secured places at Sunderland University.

Jack gained two A* grades in Biology and Chemistry and an A in Maths, Lucy attained an A* in Maths and two A grades in Biology and Chemistry, and Nicole concluded her time at College with three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Completing their degrees at the University of Lincoln will be Imogen Earl and Hannah Fairley.

Imogen achieved an A* in Psychology and two A grades in Biology and Chemistry whilst Hannah obtained an A* in Chemistry and two A grades in Biology and Maths.

Daisy Wileman is all set to begin her course at Cardiff University. She attained four A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, Philosophy Religion and Ethics and Extended Project.

Of the successful Veterinary Science students, Shahla White and Caitlin Cox will embark on the next stages of the education at the University of Liverpool and Katie Quickmire will become a student at Harper and Keele, beginning in September 2022. Shahla achieved an A* in Maths and three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Extended Project, Caitlin obtained an A* in Psychology and two A grades in Biology and Chemistry, and Katie gained two A grades in Chemistry and Law and a B in Biology.
