FAMILIES enjoyed a day of fun at a summer fair to celebrate the end of Covid restrictions.
Middleton St George Community Association held the event on Saturday to bring villagers together again after the lockdowns and restrictions of the last 18 months.
Despite the damp weather, members of the community turned out to enjoy a day of traditional fun at the “bouncing back from lockdown” event, which was held at the village’s community centre in Station Road.
It featured dance demonstrations, live music, coconut shies and fairground games and story telling.
There were also a number of emergency service vehicles in attendance, along with member of the Darlington and District Model Boat Club, who were exhibiting their models.
Marion Ogle and Louise Sensical, trustees of the Middleton St George Community Association, said: “All the trustees would like to thank everyone who came and supported the community centre with all the stalls and entertainment.
“We all thoroughly enjoyed providing a bouncing back day despite the weather.”
