NORTH Yorkshire Police have issed an urgent appeal to the public for information to help find a missing Scarborough man as they continue to search

Steven Pearson, aged 54, has not been seen since he left his home in Eastfield at 8.20am yesterday.

Police have described Mr Pearson as 5 foot 10 inches, bald and of medium build, and he was seen wearing a navy blue polo shirt, blue jeans and a green pull over jacket.

Officers are asking anyone who has CCTV in the Eastfield area including Cayton Low Road and the industrial estate to contact officers with information. 

Police are keen to view footage between the hours of 8am and 10am on the day Steven went missing in a bid to establish his direction of travel.

Police say they are also looking for any dashcam footage from anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time. 

Anyone who has seen Mr Pearson, or has any information that could assist police are asked to get in touch. Dial 101, press 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room, quoting reference number 12210188404.
