NORTH Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 60 year-old man was knocked from his bike and suffered a head injury.

The incident happened at around 6.20pm on Sunday August 22, when the cyclist, a man in his 60s, was knocked from his bike. The vehicle failed to stop at the scene and drove away.

Currently, the cyclist is being treated in hospital for concussion and shock.

Officers are appealing for help from the public to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are particularly looking for the driver of the vehicle to come forward, and anyone who can help officers locate the driver as well.
