A VICTORIAN seaside town is to be transformed into a steampunk paradise for a weekend of fun.

Fans of steampunk will descend on Saltburn for one weekend this September bringing weird and wonderful costumes.

On Friday, September 17 the valley gardens and the town centre will be transformed into a wild western Frontier.

The event will then move up to the Saltburn learning campus on Saturday, 18 and Sunday, 19.

The weekend will see a specially designed steampunk circus, Victorian lawn games of croquet, skittles and quoits.

There will be weird and wonderful exhibits of steampunk creative inventions, Tea duelling and biscuit dunking challenge, parasol duelling, teapot races, nerf archery and nerfgun shootout gallery.

There will be lots of live entertainment including local Cutty Crew folk music group along with a local line dancing group. On the Friday night the Hillbilly ball and on Saturday the Fantabulous Cabaret show.
