YESTERDAY three men were arrested in connection with three burglaries and a ram raid overnight in the Redcar and Cleveland area.

Cleveland Police officers received a report of a ram raid on Birchington Avenue in Middlesbrough at around 12.50am.

This was followed by reports of burglaries in St Patricks Road in Grangetown, Cannock Road in Middlesbrough and Caernarvon Close in Teesville in the early hours of yesterday morning, (Tuesday)

Cars were stolen during the course of these burglaries.

Police officers from the Incident Response Team and Cleveland Police Dog Support Unit assisted in locating, detaining and arresting three men.

The three men, aged 18, 19 and 20, remain in police custody at this time.
