THESE pictures, which have not been published for decades, show Cockerton, on the outskirts of Darlington, as it was in the 1960s.
They also show shopping as it was in the 1960s, with crowded counters and windows and little delivery vans whizzing about, plus mobile shops.
Once every community had a mobile shop that visited on a twice weekly basis - are there any left anywhere?
If the pictures bring back memories, or if you have information about any of them, please email chris.lloyd@nne.co.uk
