The event is part of a series of sessions being held on Wednesdays throughout the summer holidays.

All sessions are free and hosted on a “turn up and play” basis, spaces are limited.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Councillor Alan Marshall, Darlington Borough Council’s cabinet member for economy and regeneration, said: “Our town centre team has pulled out all the stops to make Wednesdays wonderful with lots of active things to keep youngsters busy and entertained.

"There’s lots going on throughout the summer and I would advise anyone to check out our Enjoy Darlington website and our #LoveDarlo Facebook page to make sure they don’t miss out on these free events.

“With two hours free parking in many of our town centre car parks (don’t forget to get a ticket from the machine), a huge range of independent and national retailers, cafes and bars and fantastic yards and wynds, what’s not to love about our wonderful town centre.
