THE breathtaking spectacle of Kynren is returning this summer.

Taking place every Saturday from August 7 until September 11 at Bishop Auckland, County Durham, 'Kynren – an Epic Tale of England' transports its audiences back through time on an unforgettable journey spanning 2,000 years.

Performed by a 1,000-strong cast and crew on a 7.5-acre outdoor stage, the multi-award winning show is ranked among the top five performances to see in the UK on TripAdvisor.

This thrilling tale follows a young boy, Arthur, on his spellbinding journey through time and is packed with pomp and pageantry, thrilling choreography, amazing stunts, incredible equestrianism, world-class special effects and pyrotechnics.

From Boudicca’s battles with the Romans to two world wars, via Vikings, Tudors and the fate of Charles I, Kynren’s a family-friendly experience delivering thrills, shocks, tears, laughs, goosebumps and gasps on a truly cinematic scale.

Kynren opens at least two and a half hours before the start of each show and guests arriving in good time will be treated to a fantastic live jazz concert staged on the adjacent lake.

Visitors can enjoy a vantage point from the grass around the lake, or on benches dotted across the site, whilst enjoying a bite to eat and drink from the bar or new food court.

Alternatively, let children have fun in the new Viking Lair play area, which is situated near the Family Grotto, from where family-friendly meals are available.

A fourth dining option is the tranquil Rose Garden Tea Room, where adults can enjoy a relaxing break before the mesmerising main event begins.

11Arches, the registered charity producing the award-winning summer spectacular ‘Kynren – an epic tale of England’ has unveiled its new corporate identity ahead of the highly anticipated launch of 11Arches Park, the North East’s newest visitor attraction.

The refreshed corporate identity represents the company’s continued progression to develop a world-class visitor attraction in the North East. It will herald the next chapter in that evolution, the development of a new daytime attraction.

Anne-Isabelle Daulon, CEO and Co-Founder of 11Arches said: “The development of 11Arches Park is a significant milestone for us as we expand our offering with the addition of a full blown daytime attraction, bolstering our current visitor relationships and reaching out to new audiences.”

Kynren strives to ensure the site is accessible to all visitors. The main visitor path is DDA compliant and there are reserved places available for wheelchair users to enjoy the show.

Kynren provides a pre-booked Park and Ride Shuttle Bus Service to and from the site and there is designated parking for Blue Badge Holders, subject to availability.
