A FREE family music festival will be held in a County Durham park next month.

Spennymoor Town Council will host its Party in the Park event at the town's Jubilee Park, from 6pm to 11pm on Friday, August 13.

The event will be hosted by BBC Tees presenter Paul 'Goffy' Gough.

Organisers say it promises to be a fun filled evening with an exciting line up of live artists including Robbie Williams, Queen and Oasis tribute acts.

There will also be free rides, a bouncy castle and activities for children, food and bar outlets and more.

No tickets will be required for entry to the park, which will be from the Dundas Street and Carr Street gates only. Children under 16 will not be permitted to attend unless they are with an adult and no alcohol can be taken onto the site.
