Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted near a church.
Police are appealing after a 57-year-old woman was assaulted in Stockton.
The incident happened between 8:30pm and 9:30pm on Saturday, July 10, on Yarm Lane, close to Holy Trinity Church, in an area known locally as the “chuggy”.
The woman reported walking from Yarm Lane towards the grounds of Holy Trinity Church when she was approached by a female suspect who punched her and threw her to the ground, leaving her with a fracture to her arm and bruising.
Officers believe that there were a number of people in the area who may have witnessed the incident or may have information regarding the person responsible.
