NORTH Yorkshire police have confirmed that a biker who was involved in a crash on the B1222 North Yorkshire road has died.

The incident happened at around 12pm on Sunday July 18 and involved a black Suzuki Gsx 1300 motorcycle, a white Ford Fiesta and grey Seat Leon.

Police confirmed that the rider of the motorcycle, a 29-year-old man from Hull, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The occupants of the other vehicles sustained minor injuries and are helping to assist police with enquiries.

The motorcycle was travelling from Cawood to Sherburn-in-Elmet and the Ford fiesta was travelling from Sherburn-in-Elmet in the opposite direction followed by the Seat Leon.

Officers are appealing for information from anyone that might have been in the area at the time and may have witnessed something.

They’d also like to hear from anyone that might have dash cam footage that may have captured something prior to the incident.
