POLICE are appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage that could assist their investigation after a man was assaulted, leaving him with serious facial injuries.
The 52-year-old victim was assaulted outside Hollywell View Public House in Liverton, near Loftus, between 10pm and 11pm on Monday, June 14.
The man was punched in the face multiple times and then his head and body were stamped on, leaving him with serious facial injuries which have required surgery.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and he has since been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.
Any witnesses or anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Detective Constable Dave Alcock from Redcar & Cleveland CID, on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 097658.
