THIS is the moment Declan Lancaster is following the death of Patryk Mortimer in an arson.

Police bodycam shows Lancaster being arrested for murder following the fire at the former Manor House Care Home, in Easington Lane, near Sunderland.

A clearly agitated Lancaster, then 21, shouts at them: "Do you think, I am going to burn down my own house. Do you think I would murder my best pal".

As he lashes out, an officer tells him: "There is an easy way or a hard way."

The charge of murder was not pursued by the Crown Prosecution Service.

Lancaster, of no fixed abode, was jailed for life on Friday after admitting manslaughter and arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
