DARLINGTON'S largest vaccination centre reopened today after an unexpected closure on Monday.
Health bosses confirmed the Darlington Arena site was open and was due to deliver up to 1,300 vaccinations over the course of the day.
The facility was forced to closed on Monday after a water leak.
Health chiefs at the Covid Vaccination Programme for the North East and North Cumbria said they advised patients to visit Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium or Durham's Arnison Centre and were accepted as walk-ins.
Everyone aged 23 and over in the region is now able to book their first dose through the national NHS booking system.
It comes as the easing of lockdown rules have been delayed beyond June 21 for four more weeks due to concerns over a rise in Covid case rates.
