Two men have been arrested after police were called to a report of a collision involving a suspected stolen vehicle in Middlesbrough.

Around 7:30pm on Sunday, June 6, officers attended a report of a black BMW 1 series that had collided with a property on Stanhope Gardens.

Fortunately, the occupants were not injured, however, significant damage was caused to the property.

All occupants made off from the vehicle, which is believed to have been stolen from the Saltburn area in May.

Subsequent enquiries carried out by police this morning have resulted in the arrest of two males aged 25 and 34 on suspicion of a number of offences.

A search of one of the males also led officers to seize suspected crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis.

The work is part of Operation Endeavour, a Force-wide operation to tackle serious and organised crime.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone with further information is asked to contact Sergeant Chris Turner from Cleveland Police on 101, quoting incident number 077569.
