A CHURCH is opening its doors once again to members of the public.
St Cuthbert's Church, in Darlington, will be open to the public from Monday, May 31.
The grade one listed church has been closed as a result of coronavirus restrictions.
The church, which is at the bottom of Market Place, next to the Town Hall, will be open each weekday lunchtime from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm.
All are welcome to come in to enjoy the architecture, pray or simply seek some quiet.
Rev James Harvey, Priest in Charge, said: "Opening our doors to the town, and to any and to all who may come in, is the first step to reconnecting to the town centre post Covid.
"It is vital that we demonstrate to all who walk through our churchyard, to all who can see the church from the Market Place, to all who may be drawn to the church - that we are open that we are a living church, and that the church is there for them."
