Weapons seized by police
WEAPONS and drugs were seized from a vehicle following a routine stop and search.
Road Policing Officers stopped and searched a Ford Fiesta vehicle which they believed was uninsured on Greta Avenue in Hartlepool on Saturday (May 22).
This was part of Operation Endeavour - a Force-wide operation to tackle serious and organised crime.
Class A and B drugs were seized from the car as well as a knuckle duster, several knives and a wooden bat.
The driver aged-25 was arrested on suspicion of drugs and driving offences and for possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been released pending further enquiries.
