The annual Soccarena Christmas six-a-side tournaments will run until tomorrow, with competitions for children aged eight to 18, and adults.
A total of 256 teams have signed up to take part.
On Thursday, the Under- Eight Development Tournament was won by Roker Boys, who beat Soccarena Roma 3-2 in the final.
Two Middlesbrough FC Academy teams contested the under-eights final.
Yesterday, the under-11s, under-12s, under-13s and under-14s took to the pitch.
Today, it is the turn of the under-14s girls and women, while the under-15s, under- 16s, under-17s, under-18s and men will take part in the last day of the competitions, tomorrow.
Jason Bridges, the event co-ordinator, said: "We do the Christmas tournaments every year, and I think, so far, this year is one of the best."
