THREE people have been arrested as part of a police operation to tackle county lines drug gangs.
A quantity of cash, suspected Class A drugs and cannabis, and a suspected stolen motor vehicle, quad and motorbike were recovered by Cleveland Police in raids that took place yesterday, May 19.
The two men, and one woman, all in their 30s are all in police custody.
The raids were part of work to tackle county lines, which are telephone lines that organised crime groups use to sell and distribute drugs.
They groom and use children and vulnerable adults to pass drugs between villages, towns and cities.
Coulby Newham Neighbourhood Police Team joined the Complex Exploitation Team, Operational Support Unit, the dog section and other agencies to swoop on four properties in the Grove Hill area of Middlesbrough.
The raids took place as part of Operation Endeavour and under the banner of Operation Sentinel, which is a regional campaign to tackle organised crime groups.
