The match between Firthmoor and DuPont was a pleasure to watch. It had passion, skill, drama, driving rain, every ingredient needed to create a fine footballing spectacle. If we lived in a fair world this game should have ended in a draw, but alas we don't, and Firthmoor won it 7-6, but only just. Luck played a big part as DuPont virtually dominated the last 10 minutes with shot after shot bouncing off the Firthmoor crossbar. There was nothing between these two teams for virtually the whole of the game - Paul Clark hit an hat trick for Firthmoor, John Myers hit an hat trick for DuPont, Phil Clark scored 2 for Firthmoor, Andrew Blewitt scored 2 for DuPont. Ste Noddings Hit 2 for Firthmoor, and had Tom Pak hit 2 for DuPont instead of one, this game would have been a draw. Both of these teams are good enough to be challenging for the league title come March.
