Eastbourne remain in the title race after a 10-5 win over a tenacious Red Hall in last night meeting. The Eastenders looked to be fielding a team of reserves after their star man Jonathan (Eddy) Edwards preferred a trip to the theatre to watch a panto rather than play in the rain. But on this performance the first team might struggle to get back in the team. The star man's absence seemed to bolster the side as they looked stronger and outplayed Red Hall in virtually every department. Pee Wee gave an excellent one man display for Red Hall hitting two first half goals. David Dean kept them in it with two long range efforts early in the second half but Eastbourne's strength throughout proved the difference. Kevin Duggan hit the notched up no less than five goals for the Eastenders with other goals coming from Karl Rollinson (2) James Edwards (2), Kevin Russel. Lez Curtis hit Red Hall's confirmation
