A MANHUNT has been launched following a spate of indecent exposure offences across South Tyneside.
An investigation is ongoing after incidents on April 9 and April 16 when a man was seen without any trousers or underwear in the Hebburn Riverside Park area.
On the first occasion, the man – who was riding a bicycle - briefly spoke to a member of the public before riding away.
One week later, on April 16, the man in question did not approach anybody but had already left the area when officers arrived at the scene.
Then on Wednesday (May 12), officers received a similar report of a man not wearing trousers or underwear riding a bike in the Wardley Lane area of Gateshead.
An investigation into each of the reports, which are being treated as linked, are ongoing and police have now released a fresh image of a man they would like to identify.
The man could have valuable information that can assist with our enquiries.
The man, or anyone who thinks they know him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website or by calling 101 quoting log 700 160421.
