PLANS have been submitted to Darlington Borough Council for the construction of a new building at a recycling centre.
The proposed new building to Faverdale Recycling Centre Ltd in Darlington is a significant investment to upgrading the centre and would enable future expansions.
The building could be a steel framed and cladded building.
According to the Design and Access Statement, the main purpose of the proposed development could be the upcycling of demolition and civil engineering waste.
It continues to say "processing such materials for reuse places the site activities at the top of the waste hierarchy.
"Its activities would be integral to the already long established Faverdale Recycling Plant."
The statement continues to say that the development will not affect the amount of noise produced by the facility and there will be no affect on people's health or quality of life.
The application can still be viewed and commented on via the Durham County Council website.
