A FURTHER 94 cases of Covid have been reported across the North-East and North Yorkshire in the last 24-hours.
Nationally, the Government said a further four people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Monday, bringing the UK total to 127,609.
Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have been 152,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
The Government also said that, as of 9am on Monday, there had been a further 2,357 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.
It brings the total to 4,437,217. The regional breakdown of the new cases is :
- County Durham: 38,201 was 38,195
- Darlington: 7,578 was 7,573
- Gateshead: 13,821 was 13,820
- Hartlepool: no change from 8,942
- Middlesbrough: 12,576 was 12,566
- Newcastle: 23,826 was 23,804
- North Yorkshire: 30,066 was 30,047
- North Tyneside: 12,584 was 12,580
- Redcar and Cleveland: 9,356 was 9,349
- South Tyneside: 11,397 was 11,391
- Stockton-on-Tees: 16,003 was 16,000
- Sunderland: 22.152 was 22,147
- York: 12,320 was 12,314
