A FURTHER 130 positive Covid-19 cases have been reported in the North-East and North Yorkshire.
The Government also said that, as of 9am on Friday, there had been a further 2,381 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.
It brings the total to 4,416,623.
The Government also said a further 15 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Friday, bringing the UK total to 127,517.
Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have been 152,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
On Friday, 14 further deaths were recorded by hospitals in England, including one by North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
Here is a breakdown of the new cases:

Darlington: 7,544 was 7,534 – an increase of 10
Gateshead: 13,785 was 13,781 – an increase of 4
Hartlepool: 8,924 was 8,921 – an increase of 3
Middlesbrough: 12,488 was 12,483 – an increase of 5
Newcastle: 23,645 was 23,629 – an increase of 16
North Tyneside: 12,522 was 12,516 – an increase of 6
North Yorkshire 29,895 was 29,867 – an increase of 28
Northumberland: 17,511 was 17,504 – an increase of 7
Redcar and Cleveland: 9,325 was 9,319 – an increase of 6
South Tyneside: 11,365 was 11,364 – an increase of 1
Stockton: 15,924 was 15,918 – an increase of 6
Sunderland: 22,120 was 22,111 – an increase of 9
York: 12,274 was 12,264 – an increase of 10
