A CONVERTED Darlington church dating back to the 1800s is on the market as a seven-bed home for £1.2 million, which you can pay for in Bitcoin. But there's a catch - the conversion hasn't actually been done yet.

St Laurence's Church dates to 1871 and was designed by the Darlington based architect JP Pritchett.

The Grade II listed property has a wealth of original features both inside and out complete with iconic stained glass windows.

Although it is being marketed as an open plan, converted church with seven bedrooms, most with en-suites, and a games room, the site is actually not yet converted.

This renovation is being sold ‘off-plan', meaning the description outlines the plans that have been drawn up by the vendor.

By negotiation, the vendor may sell the property in its current, unrenovated condition. The vendor is also willing to accept the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (btc) as a method of payment, but the final sale price in btc must be agreed at the point of sale.
