POLICE were called to a working men's club last night following reports that bottles and glasses were being thrown.
Officers were called to Tindale Crescent WMC, Bishop Auckland, at about 10.20pm but the disturbance appeared to have settled by the time they got there.
A police spokeswoman said that eight men were outside the building when the police arrived but only one arrest was made.
A 47-year-old man from Bishop Auckland, who was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, was given a fixed penalty notice and fined £80.
