THE A168 dual carriageway between Dishforth and Topcliffe in North Yorkshire has now reopened.
The northbound carriageway was reduced to one lane between the A1 and A19 earlier this afternoon.
Emergency services including the police and fire crews attended the scene and motorists were asked to avoid the area.
The occupants of the fire-damaged car were thankfully uninjured and the road reopened at around 3pm this afternoon.
