NO deaths in hospital were reported in the North-East and North Yorkshire on Sunday.

Meanwhile, a further 87 new cases were recorded in the region.

The Government said a further 10 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Sunday, bringing the UK total to 127,270.

Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have been 151,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

The Government also said that, as of 9am on Sunday, there had been a further 1,882 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.

It brings the total to 4,387,820.

According to data releases this afternoon, there were nine deaths at hospitals in England, with none reported in the North-East and North Yorkshire between 4pm on Friday and 4pm on Saturday.

South Tyneside: 11,312 was 11,310– an increase of  2

Stockton: 15,837 was15,833– an increase of 4
