POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they are hunting in connection with an attempted armed robbery of service station.
The masked man, armed with a hammer, threatened the shop worker at the Jet Garage on Wynyard Road, Hartlepool, last week.
The suspect is described as being aged between 15 and 19 years old, of slim build and 5 ft 8ins tall. He was wearing a dark puffer Armani jacket with the hood up and a scarf over his face, grey slim fit jogging bottoms, dark gloves with reflectors on the fingers and dark coloured trainers with white soles.
The incident occurred on Thursday, April 8 at around 9pm and the male left the store empty handed.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information regarding the male shown in the CCTV image is asked to contact Hartlepool CID on 101 quoting 055282.
