THERE have been 141 new Covid-19 cases recorded in the region in the last 24-hours.

Nationally, Government said a further 45 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Wednesday, bringing the UK total to 126,927.

Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have been 150,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

Government data up to April 6 shows that of the 37,391,103 jabs given in the UK so far, 31,707,594 were first doses – a rise of 85,227 on the previous day. Some 5,683,509 were second doses, an increase of 186,793.

The Government also said that, as of 9am on Wednesday, there had been a further 2,763 lab-confirmed cases in the UK, bringing the total to 4,367,291.
