AN ALL-WEATHER arena could be constructed on a parcel of land in the North-East according to a planning application submitted to Durham County Council.
The current use of the land, found on Thornley Road in Trimdon Station, is grazing land for the use of the applicant.
A change of use has been proposed for the land to build an all weather arena which would be for private use to exercise the applicants horses.
According to the Design and Access Statement, the proposed arena will create no requirement for additional access roads as the site will use the existing field access adjacent to the stables.
The statement continues to say that the impact of the proposed development would be minimal and any soil or surface disturbances caused by the work could be re-seeded so the field can retain it's use as a grazing pasture.
Neutral colour Corbridge sand could be used to finish the arena.
The planning application is still available to be viewed and commented on by the public on the Durham County Council website.
