A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a house fire this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the blaze on Costa Street, in Middlesbrough, at about 1.30pm today.
A woman in her 40s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said the cause of the fire is currently being treated as unexplained.
Police officers will remain at the scene of the fire whilst enquiries continue.
Officers are appealing for anyone with any information regarding the incident to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 051406.
