COCKNEY businessman and Lothario Mike Baldwin (played by Johnny Briggs), was, for over 30 years, one of the soap’s most memorable characters. Following the actor’s death aged 85, last month, Street stars and famous fans look back at some of Mike’s biggest storylines, including his affair with Deirdre Barlow behind her husband Ken’s back, resulting in that iconic scene on the Barlows’ doorstep, which pulled in over 20 million viewers. Other memorable moments in Weatherfield included the death of his beloved ex-wife Alma from cancer and his son Mark’s affair with his younger wife Linda. As well as being a Corrie legend, we also see how Johnny starred in a number of Carry On films, The Lavender Hill Mob, 633 Squadron, and TV shows Crossroads, The Saint, The Persuaders, No Hiding Place and Thick As Thieves.

Through meeting expectant mums, bereaved families, and those who survived a near miss, a complex picture starts to emerge of how biases in society filter into maternal care.

It will be between the Puzzle Hunters, who defeated the Whodunnits in the first semi-final, and the Dungeon Masters, who saw off Apres Skiers in the second.

The fourth series of the gripping crime drama opened with the discovery of a dismembered body in a scrap metal yard, which the team believe had been stored in a domestic freezer for 30 years. Five weeks (and a lot of twists and turns) later, it seems like DCI Cassie Stuart, DI Sunny Khan and the rest of the Bishop Street team are finally getting closer to finding out who killed Matthew Walsh. However, a shocking event could blow the case wide open, and it is pathologist Leanne Balcombe who may provide the final crucial piece of evidence.

It isn’t easy viewing, but this acclaimed documentary is a must-see for anyone with even only a passing interest in Big Jack’s life and career. Using archive footage and his own words, it looks back at his achievements on the pitch, from World Cup winner with England, to transforming the Republic of Ireland team’s fortunes. But it’s the insights into his greatest battle – against dementia – that really pull at the heartstrings. Charlton’s wife Pat and their children contribute, alongside those who knew and admired him, including Larry Mullen Jr, Roddy Doyle and Paul McGrath.

We also follow ambitious entrepreneur Faryal, as she ramps up her business plans, with three mini Khans in tow. In tonight’s opening double-bill, Faryal leaves Amir to look after the kids, while the couple discuss making headlines and reflect on their past during a rare date night. Then, Faryal seeks therapy to address past cheating allegations, while Amir plans a not-so-surprise birthday party for her in Dubai.
