THIEVES have stolen a car's catalytic converter in a supermarket car park while the owner was getting her groceries.
A Durham Police spokesperson said the thieves struck while the owner went into Tesco between 3pm and 3.45pm last Thursday.
The spokesperson said: "A woman in her 40s had parked her car, a blue Toyota Celica, at the edge of the Tesco car park at Dragonville in Durham while she went into the store.
At some point between 3pm and 3.45pm, thieves have removed the car’s catalytic converter.
"Shoppers using the store car park are asked to check their dashcams to see if any footage was captured which may help to identify the suspects responsible.
