THERE have been 254 further positive coronavirus tests in the North-East and North Yorkshire.
Nationally, the Government said a further a further 90 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 84,366, NHS England said on Sunday.
Patients were aged between 34 and 97. All except three, aged between 54 and 87, had known underlying health conditions.
The deaths were between January 17 and March 6, with the majority being on or after March 3.
There were 20 other deaths reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.

Newcastle: 22,544 was 22,515, an increase of 29
North Tyneside: 11,853 was 11,837, an increase of 16
North Yorkshire: 28,341 was 28,301, an increase of 40
Redcar and Cleveland: 8,974 was 8,961, an increase of 13
South Tyneside: 10,928 was 10,922, an increase of 6
Stockton: 14,953 was 14,930, an increase of 23
Sunderland: 21,163 was 21,140, an increase of 23
York: 11,959 was 11,942, an increase of 17
Total increase: 254
