THREE men are being questioned after Staffordshire terrier cross puppies were stolen from a house in Middlesbrough.
At around 8pm yesterday officers were called to a report of a burglary on Premier Road, Middlesbrough.
Officers attended and the men were arrested shortly afterwards.
A police spokesperson said: "Unfortunately the black and white five week old pups have not yet been recovered and due to their young age, they need to be found as a matter of urgency.
"We do not currently have a photo of the dogs.
"We'd appeal for anyone with information or anyone who may have seen the puppies advertised for sale to contact Middlesbrough CID ASAP via the 101 number quoting Ref 034320 If you don’t want to speak to police, information can be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers online at crimestoppers-uk.org or by phoning 0800 555 111."
