A FURTHER 343 people have died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Tuesday, bringing the UK total to 123,296, according to Government figures.

Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies for deaths where Covid-19 has been mentioned on the death certificate, together with additional data on deaths that have occurred in recent days, show there have now been 144,000 deaths involving coronavirus in the UK.

NHS England data shows a total of 2,165,867 jabs were given to people in London between December 8 and March 1, including 2,083,490 first doses and 82,377 second doses.

The breakdown for the North-East and Yorkshire is: 2,684,596 first and 101,052 second doses (2,785,648)

There have been a further 348 cases reported in North-East and North Yorkshire in the last 24 hours.
