A MAN has been jailed after he burgled a woman's home and left a can of Foster's behind.
Antoni Adams downed a can of Foster’s after breaking into the woman’s home – but left the empty tin at the scene.
When the woman returned home, she glanced up at her flat and saw the 33-year-old looking out of the window back at her.
Adams made off, but police found he wasn't too hard to track down after inadvertently leaving the empty can of Foster’s at the scene.
Northumbria Police's forensic team were then able to prove Adams was guilty.
On Friday (February 19), Adams, of Warwick Terrace, Sunderland, was jailed for more than two years after admitting burglary at Newcastle Crown Court.
