EMERGENCY services attended the scene of an incident in County Durham earlier today.

A stretch of the A68 at Toft Hill, near Bishop Auckland, was closed following reports of a crash.

According to witnesses, the road has been cleared and reopened.

The condition of those involved is not yet known.

Durham Police have been contacted for comment.
