THE heartbroken family of a missing dog have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
Romanian rescue dog Rocky, went missing on Tuesday, February 9, at around 10.45am when he escaped from a garden in Little Thorpe, County Durham after he was spooked.
The family searched far and wide for the seven-year-old black Labrador, who lives in Horden, but he is still missing.
His owner spread the word on social media and has been contacted about two possible sightings on Wednesday, February 10, in the Horden area and Ryhope – these have not been confirmed.
The family said: "Please if you are walking your dogs, taking daily exercise or driving in your car and you may spot a black labrador, who looks as though he has no owner with it, please get in touch immediately or as soon as you can.
"We are all heartbroken and need him home with his family that loves him more than words can say.
"If you see him do not approach, he will be terrified. Get as much information as you can, where, when and which direction he was heading and possibly a photo if you can.
"If we can just get a sighting of him we will know where to look.
"Thank you to everyone, but please keep looking and sharing. Your help and support is very much appreciated."
