THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice for the North-East this weekend.
The warning will be in place from 3pm on Saturday until 11.59pm on Monday night.
The Met Office said that cold conditons will persist throughout the weekend and into the following week with some distruption from snow and ice possible.
The Met Office continue to issue a yellow weather warning from 6pm on Tuesday until 12pm tomorrow, which states that the region will see some melting snow and heavy rain which could lead to some flooding and travel disruption.
Moreover, a yellow weather warning for snow has been issued that may affect parts of the North-East.
The warning will be in place from midnight tonight until 6pm Thursday January 4.
The Met Office says that there will be periods of snow that may disrupt traffic espeially on routes over high-ground.
