LAST week, The Northern Echo launched its search for the heroes of our health and care service.
Overcoming adversity, showing tremendous strength, courage, compassion and tenacity, to serve their local communities and continuing to put others first are just some of the amazing things they have done.
We want to share their stories and create a permanent record of their incredible achievements, so launched our Health and Care Awards 2021.
The event will be streamed live on Thursday, March 25.
Karl Holbrook, The Northern Echo Editor, said: “This is a chance to acknowledge and celebrate some amazing people in our health and care sector.”
The categories are: Young Adult and Child Care Award, Midwife of the Year, The Dementia Carer of the Year Award, The Palliative Carer of the Year Award, The Mental Health Award, GP Practice of the Year Award and Outstanding Achievement.
The Northern Echo’s sales director Ryan Fenwick, said: “We really do hope you join us by supporting the event as a sponsor and playing your part in celebrating some of the fantastic achievements from our incredible health and care professionals.”
