A YOUNG aviation fan has created a book to share his passion with others.

13-year-old Jack Berry from Sunderland is an aviation fanatic who enjoys drawing aircraft.

He has created a book titled 'Flying High in the Sunlight Silence', in aid of military charities including SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

Jack has severe autism, depression, anxiety and is selectively mute.

In July, Jack started drawing planes to help distract himself from the pandemic and give himself some focus.

The book features pilots with snippets about their experience of flying accompanied by Jack’s illustrations.

Part of the proceeds of this book will go to SSAFA’s Forces Additional Needs and Disability Forum; a tri-Service group for current serving families or individuals who have a dependant child or adult with an additional need or disability.

Jack’s book will be out on his birthday, Monday, January 25 and can be purchased from Amazon.
