On the market for an affordable property?
There’s no denying that getting on the ladder can be costly and you have to pay close attention to the property markets in order to nab a bargain.
This is especially true during the pandemic, where house prices have been steadily increasing in the area since June 2020.
However, a great place to start your search is in the 'reduced' section on Zoopla.
Here are five Darlington properties which have seen their asking price slashed since first being listed:
Thompson Street East
£90,000
This property was first listed for sale last February after being off the market for 20 years.
The price of the house has been reduced by 35.7 per cent since first being listed.
The property itself has three bedrooms and is a bit of a steal- if you have to funds for refurbishment and modernisation.
Externally, there is a yard which could be transformed into a beautiful space.
This property is being sold via auction- will you be placing a bid?
Dinsdale Crescent
£60,000
On the market for an affordable family home?
This property had an original asking price of £70,000, before being reduced by over 29 per cent.
However, the price of the property is subject to change as it is being auctioned off.
The property has three bedrooms and even has its own garden.
However, be prepared to invest some money back into refurbishments as it is in need of modernisation.
Green Chare
£160,000
This four bedroom town house is ideal for a contemporary buyer- especially if you want a heavily discounted property.
It has been on the market since February and a whopping £60,000 has been slashed off the price since then.
However, the property has a lot to offer as it has stylish interiors and is beautifully presented.
The lounge is the focal point of the house, as it features two sets of French doors with Juliet balconies to the rear.
The family will be fighting over who gets the master bedroom as it comes with its own en-suite shower room.
Glebe Road
£100,000
The asking price of this property has seen a 20 per cent reduction since being listed back in October.
From the exterior, the three bedroom house appears small- but it is deceptively spacious.
The lounge has an electric fire and the property also benefits from a yard to the rear.
Charles Street
£45,000
This property has only been on the market for three months, but it has already seen a hefty £10,000 price reduction.
It’s a great starter home for couples or small families as it has two double bedrooms.
The lounge looks like a cosy place to relax as it has an electric fire.
The property also benefits from a rear courtyard, which is enclosed for privacy.
