A MAN has appeared in court after £100,000 of suspected cannabis was seized.
Officers from Stockton Neighbourhood Team executed a drugs warrant at a property on Cheltenham Avenue in Thornaby on Sunday.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Following reported calls from concerned members of the community, officers from the Stockton Neighbourhood Team executed a drugs warrant at a property on Cheltenham Avenue in Thornaby.
"The warrant was executed yesterday, Sunday 10th January and over £100,000 worth of cannabis was reportedly seized from the premises."
Fatjon Mehalla, 28, of Cheltenham Avenue, was charged with producing controlled class B drugs.
He appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court today for a preliminary hearing.
