WITH non-essential shops forced to close as the country heads into a third Covid lockdown, here are the shops staying open in Darlington.
The latest announcement from Prime Minister Boris Johnson saw England plunged into a third lockdown, with many stores forced to close and schools shifting to remote learning.
But as with the other lockdowns, essential stores can stay open with Covid measures in place.
The Cornmill Centre in Darlington has confirmed a number of stores that will remain open:

- Vision Express
- Hannigan's
- Tesco Express
- Greggs
- Eurochange
- Darlington Building Society
