A TEENAGE girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a two-car crash in Hartlepool on Sunday.
The girl suffered injuries to her abdomen and her shoulder, while a man also sustained head injuries, and planned to make his own way to hospital.
The crash happened at the A689, Stockton Road at around 11am.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Police attended a two vehicle collision on Stockton Road in Hartlepool near the Traveller’s Rest at 11.10am on Sunday. It involved a beige Skoda and a black Citroen C3.
"A man from one of the vehicles sustained a head injury and a teenage girl sustained injuries to her abdomen and shoulder."
The road was closed for recovery of vehicles.
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called today at 11.05am to an RTC outside the Travellers Rest in Hartlepool.
"We took a patient to hospital, but a second did not need transportation, but planned to make their own way instead."
