A TEENAGER has appeared at court following a stabbing in Crook at the weekend.
The accused, who is unable to be named due to his age, denied wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article, namely a kitchen knife, at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court this morning.
The alleged incident took place in Stanhope Terrace at around 12.40am on Saturday.
A 19-year-old man was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The defendant was given conditional bail and is due to appear at Durham Crown Court on January 19.
